I work for a Fertility Doctor. It's a pretty kush job. I sip cappuccinos and snack on biscotti all day and I answer phones...and file. The thing is...I get paid well to do this! But I do work the occasional Saturday...like today. I didn't do a damn thing today, except get dressed to come here...and sit...and sit...and sit. But I get paid so, im ok with it!

The Today Show Talks Italian Vogue

To be completely honest, the extent of my news watching is having it on in the background while chatting with my parents— most of the time the volume is so low we can't even hear it. It bores me to no end, and after about 30 minutes you've heard…

Not So Indian Summer

Ever since I moved to the East Coast, I've been asked a baffling question everywhere I go, "Are you part Hispanic/American Indian/West Indian?" Back in the Midwest, the general consensus is if you look black, then you probably are and asking otherwise is a waste of time. My answer to…

Just finished the WORN Again show, which was a blast! Met a lot of other great designers and had fun hanging out with my favorite model Rocio. Unfortunatley, I misplaced my digital camera, so had to use a manual and the photos came out a little blurry. Next show is on July 4th. I will be showing the ottilie Fall/Winter 2008 RTW collection. This will include new design additions that are not on the website. If you are in the New Orleans area, please come! The show is free and is on July 4th from…

We over here at Fashion Indie need your help. We are really trying to get admission into this other networking site called The Fashion Spot, but the site is full and the only way we can get in is if we are invited. If any of you are currently members there and could e-mail me an invite for Fashion Indie that would rule. So stop being lazy call everyone you know who may belong there and get us in!!!!!!!!
love always,

In addition to featuring indie designers and artists on my own blog, MissMalaprop, I've also recently
started writing for Styledash.com as well.
Styledash gets HUGE traffic, as they are part of a blogging network owned by AOL and often have articles there featured prominently on AOL's homepages. I'm trying to use this exposure to the indie designer's advantage, and I'd like to start doing a regular interview segment with indie designers, call…
